Why am I not showing up · 3 min · October 14, 2026
“Not indexed” means Google is ignoring the page.
It exists, it opens, and Google will never show it. Three reasons that happens, and the one-line fix for each.

Google keeps a list of the pages it is willing to show. A page not on that list can be perfect, open fine, and never appear for anything. Google's own word for this is “not indexed”, and it gives a reason in its own words when you ask.
Reason one: you told it not to
A line in your robots file, or a tag on the page, says “skip this”. Website builders add these by accident more often than anyone admits. The fix is removing the line, and it takes a minute.
Reason two: it sends people somewhere else
A page that redirects, to a sign-in screen or to the home page, is not a page as far as Google is concerned. It lists the destination instead. If visitors are meant to sign in, show them the page first and gate the part that needs an account.
Reason three: Google read it and shrugged
“Crawled, currently not indexed” is Google saying the page is not worth the space. Usually it is thin, or a near copy of another page, or nothing on your site links to it. Give it a reason to exist, link to it from a page Google already trusts, and ask again.
