Terms of service
The plain-English agreement between you and Footprnt. It is short because the product is simple: Footprnt reads, and it never changes anything.
This page is a draft. The final wording is being reviewed, and the parts in square brackets are not yet filled in.
Who this is between
These terms are between you and [the company behind Footprnt], which runs footprnt.ai. Using Footprnt means you accept them.
What Footprnt does
Footprnt reads your website the way a visitor would. Once you connect Google, it also reads what Google Search Console says about your site.
It draws your site as a map, says what changed, and suggests fixes in plain words. It never changes your site, your Google account or anything else.
Your account
You need an account to keep a site. Keep your sign-in to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used it.
You are responsible for what is done with your account. You may invite teammates to a site, and they see what you see for that site.
Your site and Google's numbers
You may only add a site you own or are allowed to work on. Google's numbers about your site stay yours.
Footprnt reads them with the permission you grant, and keeps them to draw the map and spot changes. You can take that permission back in Settings at any time, and Footprnt stops reading.
What you may not do
Do not use Footprnt to read a site you have no right to, to overload a site, or to break the law.
Do not try to reach another account's sites, and do not pull Footprnt apart to copy it. Do not resell access without asking us first.
Paying
Footprnt is free while it is in its early release. When paid plans arrive, the price and what it covers will be shown before you are asked for a card.
Nothing you keep today will be taken away without notice.
Ending
You can stop at any time: disconnect Google in Settings, remove your sites, or ask us to delete your account.
We may close an account that breaks these terms, and we will say why.
What we promise, and what we cannot
Footprnt shows what Google reports and what it read on your site. It cannot promise a higher spot in Google, more visitors, or that Google's numbers are complete.
Footprnt is offered as it is. We are not liable for loss that comes from relying on it, beyond what the law requires.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. A change that matters is announced on Today and by email before it applies.
The law that applies
