Why is my website not showing up on Google?

There are three different problems hiding in this one question. Which one you have decides what to do, and two of them are fixed in an hour.

Written by Footprnt, from Google's own definitions

First, find out which of three problems you have. Search Google for your own address, with site: in front, like site:yourshop.com. If nothing comes back, Google has not listed the site at all. If pages come back but not the one you care about, that page is missing. If every page is there, you are listed and simply not near the top.

Not listed at all

Usually the site is new, or a setting is telling Google to stay away. Open Search Console, add your site, and read what it says under Pages. A line that says noindex, or a robots file that blocks everything, is a setting somebody chose, and it is undone in a minute.

One page missing

Google decides page by page. A page no other page links to, a page that redirects, or a page that says nearly the same as another is often left out. Ask Google about the page in Search Console, with the inspection tool, and it gives its reason in its own words.

Listed, but nowhere near the top

This is not a listing problem. It is a ranking one, and the answer is the page itself: does its title say what people type, and does the page answer it? Start with the searches where you already sit between spots four and twenty. Those are the cheapest to move.

Footprnt asks Google about each of your pages, draws the ones it skips as dashed, and puts the reason and the fix beside each one.
