What to do this week · 3 min · October 23, 2026

I have two hundred pages. Which one do I fix first?

Not the home page, and not the page you like least. The one with the most people already looking, and the smallest change to make.

Fix first the page that many people already see in Google and few click. That page has done the hard part, being shown. What is left is a title, which you can change this afternoon.

How to find it

In Search Console, under Pages, sort by impressions. Then look at the click rate beside each. A page seen ten thousand times and clicked two hundred times is the one. Its title is not saying what people typed.

Second, the pages that stopped opening

A page that redirects, errors, or asks for a sign-in has lost every visitor it had. Those are found in an hour and fixed in less. They come second only because the first kind is usually worth more.

Third, the page on page two

A page sitting between spots eleven and twenty for a search people use. Moving it to page one usually doubles its visits. Title, a plain answer at the top, a link from your strongest page.

What to leave for later

Pages nobody searches for. Pages that already sit first. The home page, unless it is the one with the skipped title. Most of a site can wait; the list above cannot.

Footprnt keeps this list for you as Your fixes, in order, with the exact words to paste. Each one is ticked off when it is live.
